It Takes 2

At Studio Roxander, we believe in nurturing young dancers from the very beginning. "It Takes 2" is the perfect introduction to the enchanting world of dance for kids. With the support of involved parents, our 30-minute class focuses on teaching the youngsters to follow along with  stretching, songs, parachute games, free dance, and obstacle courses. These activities help children develop listening skills and coordination, setting the stage for a lifelong love of dance. Come join us and dance into a world of wonder!

Ages 2 and 3 are welcome! (2 years old by the start of our Session - September 8, 2025)

Wednesdays: 4:00-4:30 with Elyse (Studio 2)

Saturdays: 9:00-9:30 with Elyse (Studio 2)

Tuition: $54 installments (1 class/wk)

IMPORTANT THINGS TO NOTE:

• Parental Role. Our goal is to instill a love of music and movement in your child, and what better way to do that than with YOU (the parent)!  We hope that by you sharing in this experience, your child will feel safe and secure and grow more independent with you guiding the way. During the class, the primary role of the parent is to participate in the movements and help the child follow instructions.

• Classroom Etiquette.  Another role of the parent/guardian is to aid in keeping the studio environment as quite and peaceful as possible. This means limiting talking amongst parents as well as helping to ensure that their child stays on their square while waiting their turn and following the classroom rules, such as: no talking, no running, no swinging on ballet barres, etc.

• Dress Code: The kids can wear any type of dancewear or activewear. Since socks can be slippery, we kindly request that dancers wear ballet shoes. Parents are welcome to wear socks or go barefoot.

• Arrival. The beginning of class is set to music, so it’s essential that everyone arrives early so that we can start together as a group. This helps focus the children and set the tone of the class. 

• Late-Comers. If you arrive late for any reason, you can wait at the door until there’s a break and wait for the instructor to invite you in. If you are more than 10 min late please schedule a makeup class.

• Missed classes. There are no credits for missed classes. Student will be able to take a “makeup class” provided there is a 2nd “It Takes 2” class on the current session’s schedule. If there is not, the missed class will be forfeit.
