INFO/POLICIES
Fees, Policies & Placement
PLEASE CAREFULLY REVIEW OUR 2026/2027 STUDENT HANDBOOK. Enrollment in our program is an agreement to the rules and policies provided therein. The following are highlights from the Handbook.
Registration Fee:
The annual fall registration fee of $50 is due prior to the start of fall classes or upon enrollment each year. Starting February 1, the fee is lowered to $25. The registration fee is required to secure your spot in any class and is non-refundable.
Placement Class Fee:
We offer free trial classes which can be used for placement. Please sign up online or give us a call to schedule your placement/trial class!
Late Fees & NSF:
There will be a $15 late fee which will be charged each month an account has an outstanding balance. This fee is applied on the 5th of each month. The returned check or NSF fee is $25.
Multiple Child Discount:
If more than one child from the same immediate family is enrolled in classes, there is a 10% monthly discount for all children in the family.
Pre-Payment Discount (Cash/Check only):
- Pay your installment before the due date and receive a 5% discount.
- Pay your annual tuition 5 months in advance and receive a 10% discount (deadlines are August 31st and December 31st).
The above discounts do not apply to your registration fee or any tuition paid for with a credit/debit card when registering online.
Schedule of Payments:
Once enrolled during the session (School Year or Summer), enrollment is continuous unless a request to withdraw is processed. School year and Summer sessions must be enrolled in separately by the parent.
- School Year (September-June) payments are broken down into 10 installments (8 full installments and 2 half installments). A half installment is due upon enrolling and on December 1, 2026, and additional installments are due on the 1st of the month (September, October, November, and January-May). There is no installment in June.
- Late Fees are applied on the 5th of the month.
- Summer Installment schedule depends on the program (weekly, Summer Intensive, or workshop). Summer tuition fee due dates will be outlined in specific program paperwork or fliers.
Tuition that has already been charged will not be reimbursed or credited, regardless of when you drop the class.
Withdrawal:
Until March, students may withdraw from classes provided 4 weeks' written notice is given. Tuition will be prorated based on the final day of class; however, if any credit remains, it will be forfeited. During the 2026/2027 school year, we do not accept/process withdrawals after February 28, 2027.
Summer Program withdrawal policies are outlined on the various program information sheets.
Studio Roxander has a no refund policy. We do not prorate tuition for missed classes.
Placement & Promotions:
Students are placed in our Toddler Program and Pre-Ballet Program classes based on their age. Once the student has graduated from the Pre-Ballet Program, advancement and promotions are based on many factors, with the primary one being the dancer’s understanding of and ability to perform the material in their current level safely and correctly. This, along with the student’s level of maturity and commitment, is considered above all other things. It is not unusual for a student to repeat a level of training. New students entering level 1B and above will need to take a placement class.
Commitment:
Classical ballet training is a year-round commitment. School closures are scattered throughout the year at appropriate times (Spring, Pre-Summer, Post-Summer, Winter). Taking extensive time off over summer (or at other times) can put the dancer at risk of falling behind their peers who choose to continue training, and that dancer may be held back in the fall regardless of where their peers are placed.
