Our Philosophy

We Believe in You.

At the core of our philosophy is its belief in the individual and their ability to attain or even exceed their highest aspirations.  Our philosophy is to demand from each student, whether or not a career in dance is desired, their very best effort and in return to provide them with the care and attention that each of them deserves. We strongly believe that everyone's life will be enriched by an education in dance.  Dance is unique in its fusion of musicality, athleticism and performance expression.  Our wish is that our family oriented, positive environment helps to build self-esteem and an enriched appreciation for dance and the arts.

We Believe in Quality Training & Technique.

Most of our teachers have between 20-40 years of performing, teaching and choreographic experience, and have trained numerous dancers who have gone on to highly successful professional careers.  Our intent is to utilize our experience and instincts to make a positive difference in our students, without sacrificing our standards.  We, as teachers, strive to maintain the honor, integrity and respect of the art form and the space in which it is practiced.  We believe this is imperative in order to achieve our commitment to the growth of each individual.  With quality training a young dancer can develop and reach their potential faster, which encourages them to sustain and even deepen their inspiration and love of dance.

Everyone with any significant dance experience will agree that classical ballet is the most precise, difficult and demanding of all dance art forms.  It is also the foundation that all other dance forms are based upon.   Students who have solid basic ballet training can transfer their focus to many other dance and performing art forms, as well as sports, with greater ease and understanding than those without it.  We understand that some students who come for classes may not be interested or drawn to classical ballet.  While we strongly recommend and encourage all of our dancers to study ballet, we do not require it for enrollment in our school.

We Believe That Your Dance Experience with Us Should Be Fun.

It is our belief that true joy can be found in being an inspiration to others and that only through real and quantifiable accomplishments can one's self confidence be developed.  There is no doubt that doing something well increases an individual's self esteem.  Demanding a high personal standard will bring out leadership qualities in everyone.  These qualities empower a young person to make good choices for themselves and avoid being caught in the trap of peer pressure and negative behavior.  Success and fun have many different definitions but we believe that nothing is more fun than the pride that one feels when they have surprised themselves by accomplishing a truly difficult task.
